If you would like to apply for a DHP you should ask
your local authority how to apply as each local authority can
decide how it wants DHP applications to be made. When you apply for
a DHP you must provide the reasons for your application and any
other information that the authority requests. Tell the authority
if you want your DHP backdated.
If you have been refused a DHP, or if you have not
been awarded the maximum amount allowed, then you can apply again
if there is a change in any of the circumstances relevant to your
application.
